OVERVIEW
Funding is available up to $100,000 per grant for 1–3 years, supporting research capacity building across Queensland public hospital Emergency Departments, the Queensland Ambulance Service, Retrieval Services Queensland, Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), and LifeFlight.
The Research Capacity Building grant scheme is designed to strengthen research capability by supporting the employment of dedicated personnel and enabling research, education, and communication activities.
It aims to establish a collaborative, multidisciplinary research culture, promote research as a core component of clinical practice, and embed research activity including data collection, routine evaluation, innovation, and translation of findings into practice.
In the medium to long term, the program supports institutions to build sufficient research capability and productivity to attract nationally competitive grant funding.
