Record number of grant applications

EMF received a recording-breaking response to its Queensland Research Program grant round earlier this year.

The round closed on April 17, with 28 applications submitted. This was the highest number of applications submitted for a grant round in EMF’s history. There were also applications from 15 new researchers and from hospitals which have never applied for grants.

The growing number of applications reflects the increasing interest in emergency medicine research in Queensland and the impact of EMF’s Research Support Network.

Our peer review panel is now assessing grant applications. After which, our Strategic Grants Committee will select applications best aligned with EMF’s objectives to increase research capacity across Queensland and deliver a positive benefit and impact to emergency medicine.

The successful applicants will be announced in July 2016.
