EMF Board welcomes new members

EMF is welcoming four new members to its Board for 2019, Emergency Medicine Specialists: Dr Kim Hansen, Dr Shane George and Dr Jeremy Furyk.

The three new members are each Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM), who as a Founding Member of EMF is responsible for appointing four EMF Board Members.

The appointees are replacing retiring members A/Prof Ed Oakley, Dr David Spain and Dr Michael Sinnott.

Dr Sinnott co-founded EMF and served on the EMF Board for nine years over two terms. Dr Spain also was a long term Board Member, serving for eight years over two terms, while A/Prof Oakley was a Board Member for the last four years and Dr Bell was the Chair for two years.

“I would like to personally thank Dr Bell, Dr Sinnott, Dr Spain and A/Prof Oakley for the time and energy they devoted to EMF and the considerable role they played in developing the organisation,” said Dr Bell.

In late 2018, Ms Cathy Montesin replaced retiring Board Member, Mr Jason Currie.
