Docos on new emergency treatment for infants

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare has produced three short documentaries on a new treatment for infants with respiratory illness.

The treatment is being championed by Australian Researchers, who received seeding funding from EMF for their pioneering research. The team has trialled the use of high-flow nasal cannulation for treating infants presenting to the emergency department. Fisher & Paykel provided the equipment at no charge, while the NHMRC awarded a $1.3 million grant to extend the research to a large, multi-site trial.

Our thanks to Queensland Health, who fund the EMF Queensland Research Program.
