Registrations are now open for the Trauma Care in Regional, Rural and Remote Queensland Research Symposium, co-hosted by the Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) and the Jamieson Trauma Institute (JTI).
Held at the Frazer Institute Auditorium, 12-5pm on Thursday 20 August 2026, this dedicated research event will showcase how evidence, innovation and collaboration are helping improve trauma care for Queensland communities outside major metropolitan centres.
The program will feature emerging findings from EMF-funded projects exploring topics such as potentially avoidable interhospital transfers for patients with mild traumatic brain injury, out-of-hospital pain management, telehealth-supported models of care, and building research capacity.
Attendees will also hear from Trauma Care Scholarship recipients and take part in a multidisciplinary panel discussion examining future priorities and opportunities to strengthen trauma care across regional, rural and remote communities.
