We've opened the latest grant round for our Queensland Research Program. A total of $700,000 is available for Queensland Health clinicians who provide direct clinical care to patients in an emergency.
Reducing emergency department demand in regional hospitals
Funded by EMF, clinicians from Ipswich Hospital are collaborating with researchers from the University of Tasmania and the University of Southern Queensland to tackle the increasing demand on our country emergency departments.
Queensland Health employees interested in emergency healthcare research are invited to attend a short EMF Research 101 Workshop on 12 March 2019 in Brisbane.

Vale Dr Colin Page
EMF joined with the Australian toxicology and emergency medicine community in mourning the death of Dr Colin Page in December 2018. Colin was a passionate and caring emergency physician who undertook sub specialty training in clinical toxicology. He received an EMF Research Scholarship in 2014 and despite passing away before he could complete his PhD, his extraordinary research output stands testament to his research acumen and achievements in the toxicology field.
