Friday, 25th August 2017 Research Symposium Invited speakers will cover areas critical to emergency medicine research.

> Our key note speaker, Professor Kathryn Maitland, will provide an overview of the use of fluid resuscitation in sepsis and the international collaboration into treating respiratory illness in the ED, which has grown out of Australian research.

Acute Care Research and Translation Workshop


Run in collaboration with the PREDICT Network

The full-day workshop will provide participants with key lessons for research design, conducting collaborative and multi-site research, and research translation including the development of new clinical guidelines and clinical roll-outs.The Workshop will include a research translation stream, the KT Roadmap, run by Dr Tamika Heiden who is the Principal of Knowledge Translation Australia.

Thursday, 24th August 2017 Cocktail Awards and Networking Event EMF will host a 10-year awards cocktail event from 5:30pm -7:30pm following the workshop. This event will recognise individuals who have had a significant impact on emergency medicine in Queensland as well as provide an opportunity for networking. This event is open to all Workshop and Symposium delegates as well as their partners and supporters of emergency medicine research.
