31 October 2024

We are excited to announce the release of the EMF Annual Report 2023-2024.

This year, EMF has witnessed significant research achievements that address critical issues such as access block, workforce challenges and care for vulnerable populations. Some of the accounts highlighted in this year’s report include:

– Completion of the large-scale “Study to Analyse Patient Flow” which established a robust evidence base to inform innovative strategies and enable healthcare providers, hospital executives, and policymakers to identify the most effective solutions for improving patient flow

– Enhancing patient outcomes and experiences, particularly for vulnerable cohorts such as older people or trauma patients in regional, rural and remote areas

– Advancements in research capacity building within public hospitals emergency departments and Retrieval Services Queensland

– Completed research projects with outcomes that translate into real and practical benefits.

EMF extends our thanks to our funders, the Queensland Government through Queensland Health and the Motor Accident Insurance Commission for their ongoing support.
