|Jane Schmitt is a Lawyer by profession, having worked in private and corporate arenas. Her move into executive management has seen her in roles at Australia’s largest medical indemnity insurer and Master Builders Australia, before taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer at AMA Queensland. Her expertise lies in initiating innovative operational and strategic changes to enhance the influence and profile of communities and businesses. She is a strategic thinker, a straight talker and contributes vision and enthusiasm, strong leadership skills and business acumen. She is also a graduate of the AICD Company Director’s course.|
|Professor Gerry FitzGerald
MD, FACEM, FRACMA, FCHSM
|Professor FitzGerald is Professor of Public Health in the Faculty of Health at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Director of
The Centre for Emergency and Disaster Management. He has extensive experience in emergency health from service delivery and policy perspectives. He was formerly Commissioner of the Qld Ambulance Service and Chief Health Officer for Queensland. Professor FitzGerald has led the development of the Emergency and Disaster Management programs at QUT and has led NHMRC and ARC funded research programs in emergency and disaster management. He has more than 50 publications in the last five years.
|Dr Peter Isdale AM

|Peter brings a wealth of experience in research across the health and biotechnology spectrum and in translation. Additionally, Peter also has more than 25 years of experience in Chairmanship. Peter specialises in researching and validating complex, novel technologies relating to resource recovery, (including energy) solutions. Brokering and project-managing discovery technologies into industrial profit centres. Optimising ways through and around interesting hurdles. Paying forward that which my mentors gave to me.|
|Dr Andrew Spiller
BSc, MBBS(Hons), FRACGP, FACEM
|Andrew is a highly experienced emergency medicine specialist and clinical researcher. Currently, Andrew holds a Staff Specialist position at Logan Hospital, where he is championing research within the Emergency Department.
Andrew has also worked in emergency departments at Greenslopes Private Hospital, University Hospital (Reykjavik, Iceland), Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the former Mater Children’s Hospital. Prior to specialising in Emergency Medicine, Andrew worked as a General Practitioner, before which he was a Medical Officer (Officer in Charge) with the Royal Australian Navy.
